How to make Cheese Spinach Crispies

Recipe by Naiya Sheth: Crispies are all time favourite snack. Earlier we made methi masala crispies, masala crispies, chatpati crispies and crispy chips with creamy dip. Now it's time to make very delicious, yummy and healthy cheese spinach crispies. I tried to make it healthier by adding spinach and whole wheat flour. So enjoy cooking cheese spinach crispies with any dip of your choice. Today I served it with salsa sauce.




Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - 10 to 12 minutes

Ingredients to make Cheese Spinach Crispies:

1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup refined flour
3 tablespoon rice flour
1 teaspoon semolina
Salt to taste
2 cubes grated cheese
1 cup chopped spinach leaves
1 teaspoon black pepper powder
2 tablespoon melted ghee - clarified butter
1 tablespoon oil

Oil for frying

To serve with:

Salsa sauce
Cheese


Method to make Cheese Spinach crispies:

  • In a microwave safe bowl add chopped spinach and cook for 2 minutes covered. Let it cool at room temperature.
  • Mix all ingredients of crispies in a bowl excluding oil for frying. 
  • Make a semi-soft dough with sufficient water. Be careful while adding salt, because we are adding cheese. 
  • Rest for 10 minutes covered.
  • Make small balls from it and roll thin crispies from it. Prick with knife or fork.
  • Fry them until crisp in hot oil.
  • Let them cool at room temperature.
  • Delicious cheese spinach crispies are ready to serve.
