Maha shivratri Special Recipe - Chatpata Chaat

In earlier festival special recipe we learn about the making of yummy and spicy Farali Frankie. But as per the tradition we always eat sweet potatoes during Maha Shivratri. And if you are board from same masala lemon sweet potatoes here it's a home made recipe of Chatpata Chaat. You can have this during any time of a day. It's a mouth watering and easy recipe. And can be served as snacks, starter and of course good for kids lunch box also. Because it's a stomach filler recipe. The main benefit of this recipe is that it can be use during non fasting days also. So enjoy the recipe.

Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - 15 to 20 minutes

Ingredients to make Chatpata Chaat:

2 cups boiled potatoes
2 cups boiled sweet potatoes
1 cup paneer
1 apple
2 table spoon spoon green chutney
1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
1/2 tea spoon chaat masalo
1/4 tea spoon black salt powder
1/2 tea spoon roasted cumin powder
Juice of 1 lemon
Oil for frying

For garnishing:

Masala shing
Coriander leaves
Chaat masalo

Method to make Chatpata Chaat:

  • Wash and de peel potatoes and sweet potatoes. Now boil them. Let them cool at room temperature.
  • Cut them in equal size cubes and fry in hot oil at high flame till light pink or crisp. When ready drain over absorbent tissue. Keep a side.
  • Cut paneer in same size cubes as potatoes and sweet potatoes. Add green chutney to it and keep a side for minimum 10 minutes. 
  • At the time of serving in a big bowl add fried potatoes and sweet potatoes, marinated paneer, apple cubes, pomegranate seeds and spices. Mix well and add lemon juice to it.
  • At last garnish with coriander leaves and masala shing. And then sprinkle some chaat masala and lemon juice over it.
  • Mouth watering Chatpata Chaat is ready to serve.
