How to Make Pizza Sub


Recipe by Naiya Sheth: Pizzas are all time favorite to all. But it’s a long process to bake and eat. So here it’s a different homemade recipe for pizza in which it cuts the time of baking. Means, quick and easy but testy. Pizza Sub is a combination of taste and health, because it contains cheese and vegetables also.

Preparation time - 15 minutes
Cooking time – 10 minutes
Serves – 2 people

Ingredients to make Pizza Sub:

4 to 5 table spoon pizza sauce
2 hot dog buns
2 table spoon grated mozzarella cheese
2 table spoon cooking cheese
3 table spoon onion medium chopped
1 tomato slices
2 table spoon capsicum medium chopped
½ tea spoon chilly flacks
½ tea spoon oregano
1 table spoon butter
Ingredients to make Pizza Sauce:
1 cup tomato puree
2 table spoon tomato sauce
2 tea spoons oil
1 finely chopped onion
1 tea spoon garlic paste
1 tea spoon red chili powder
2 tea spoon sugar
½ tea spoon chilly flacks
½ tea spoon oregano
100 to 150 grams grated cheese
Salt to taste
1 tea spoon corn flour

Method to make Pizza sauce:

1. Heat oil in a pan. Fry onion and garlic for few minutes. Now add tomato pulp in it and cook for at least 5 minutes.
2. When tomatoes are cooked add tomato ketchup, capsicum, chilly flacks, oregano, salt, red chili powder and 1 table spoon grated cheese. Cook for 2 minutes. Add corn flour slurry and let it cook till thick. Pizza sauce is ready to apply, keep aside and let it cool at room temperature.
3. You can store this in deep freeze for minimum 15 days.

Method to make Pizza Sub:

1. Slice the hot dog bun horizontally and spread pizza sauce on the lower loaf.
2. Spread tomato slices on it and then spread grated cheese on it.
3. Sprinkle onion and capsicum on it. And then sprinkle chilly flacks and oregano over it.
4. Cover with upper loaf gently.
5. Apply butte on the top of the loaf.
6. Grill for 5 minutes in griller or grill till cheese melts.
Tips to make Pizza Sub:
1. If griller is not available oven or girder – tavi can be used.
2. In case of griddle - tavi cover it.
