As we all know bhindi is a very popular vegetable in kids and youngsters. Bhindi/ladies’ finger contains vitamin K, folate & iron. Actually, bharva bhindi is a very popular recipe. It can be cooked on flame. But today we are going to make it in microwave, as it can be easy for youngsters to make it. If they are afraid of gas flame. Let’s have a lookmat the recipe of bharva bhindi in microwave. Enjoy cooking!


Preparation time – 8 to 10 minutes
Cooking time – 10 to 12 minutes
Serves – 4 person

Ingredients to make bharva bhindi in microwave: 

Bhindi: 
400 grams small bhindi – ladies’ fing
1 onion – finely sliced
½ tea spoon cumin seeds
2 table spoon oil
½ teaspoon hing (asafoetida) 
Salt to taste
Besan: 
1 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoon roasted peanuts
2 tablespoon sesame seeds
2 tablespoon coriander leaves
2 to 3 green chili 
Salt to taste
2 to 3 tablespoon dry roasted besan (gram flour) 
1 teaspoon red chili powder
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
2 teaspoon cumin coriander powder
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon caster sugar

Method to make Bharva bhindi in microwave: 

Bhindi: 
Wash and wipe bhindi. Make slice of each bhindi and keep aside.
Heat one tea spoon oil in a microwave proof bowl and add cumin seeds to it, cook for 30 seconds at MICRO HI.
Add onion to it and again cook for 1 minutes. Add hing to it & bhindi to it, cook for 2 minutes. Again cook until it is cooked. Make sure to cook at the interval of 2 minutes. When cooked keep a side. 
For besan: 
In a mixer jar add peanuts, sesame seeds & coriander. Crush them to coarse. 
Mix above mixer with besan, oil & all dry ingredients. Mix properly. 
How to cook:
Add besan mixture to bhindi and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes covered in microwave at micro hi. 
Again mix and cook for 1 minute uncovered if required.
Hot and tempting Bharva Bhindi is ready to serve. Serve it with phulka rotti.
Tips: 
Make sure to dry bhindi properly before cooking as it may be sticky with moisture. 
You can add red chili powder instead of green chilies.
