How to Make Manchurian

Recipe by Naiya Sheth : Learn how to make Manchurian. Chinese recipes are loved by every one. Here it's a easy and quick recipe for very famous Manchurian. This a spicy recipe with lots of vegetables. so, good option of vitamins.

Preparation time - 15 minutes
Cooking time - 20 minutes
Serves - 4 persons

Ingredients to make Manchurian:

For Manchurian balls:

3 cups cabbage - finely chopped
1/2 cup onion - finely chopped
1 cup carrot grated or - finely chopped
2 table spoons corn flour
4 -5 table spoon refined flour 

1/2 tea spoon garlic paste
1 green chilly - finely chopped
1 pinch aaji no motto (opt)
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying

For Manchurian Gravy:

1 table spoon garlic paste
4 -5 green chilies - finely chopped
1 1/2 tea spoon ginger paste
Salt to taste
1 cup corn flour slurry ( 1 table spoon corn flour + 1 cup water)
1 table spoon soy sauce
2 table spoon oil
1/4 tea spoon red chilly sauce


For Garnishing:


Finely chopped spring onion greens

Method to make Manchurian:

For Balls:
  • Mix all the ingredients of Manchurian balls.
  • Make small balls from mixture and deep fry it in hot oil at medium flame.
  • Drain in absorbent kitchen tissue and keep a side. 

For Manchurian gravy:


  • Heat oil in a pan at high flame. Add ginger, garlic and chilies fry for few seconds.
  • Add corn flour slurry, soy sauce, salt and chilly sauce, cook for a few minutes.

For serving Manchurian:

  • At the time of serving add Manchurian balls in gravy and let it boil.
  • Garnish with spring onion, hot and yummy Manchurian is ready to serve.
  • You can serve this with fried rice or plane rice. 
Tips:
  • Always saute vegetables at high flame.
  • Mix balls and gravy at the time of serving only.
